Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract. As a Correctional Institution Nurse, you will be responsible for providing medical care to inmates and ensuring the overall health and well-being of our population.

About the Role

  • Provide primary and secondary medical care to inmates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct regular health checks and screenings to identify potential health risks and provide preventative care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to regulatory requirements and institutional policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license and certification in corrections (if applicable).
  • Proven experience in a correctional or similar setting, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
