About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Child Welfare Advocate to join our team as an In-Home Outreach Professional. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of at-risk children and their families.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality in-home and clinical case management services for our Family Preservation clients, working collaboratively with all program staff to promote positive outcomes and strengthen families.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the physical safety and well-being of children in the Family Preservation Program
  • Provide in-home situational counseling and clinical case management services based on the approved service plan
  • Collaborate with other professionals on the case, including DCFS, Probation, and mental health providers
  • Document and communicate clients' progress, strengths, and needs in a timely and accurate manner through all necessary reports
  • Utilize computerized systems to document progress and outcomes
  • Attend Multidisciplinary Case Planning Conferences and coordinate participants' attendance
  • Provide client linkage to needed resources/services and follow-up to ensure successful outcomes
  • Perform Up-front Assessments focusing on substance abuse, domestic violence, and mental health concerns as needed
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, including DSM-5 diagnosis and treatment recommendations
  • Demonstrate flexibility and provide support to other Allies programs as requested
  • Complete all documentation for program evaluation and outcome measures

Qualifications

  • Masters in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy; BBS registration required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and families who have experienced violence, abuse, and trauma
  • Spanish speaking required; fluency test will be administered
  • Computer skills required; knowledge of child abuse/neglect prevention essential
  • Experience working with families and children in community settings desired
  • Fingerprint background clearance, pre-employment physical, and immunizations required
