Job Description

As a Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Your primary duties will include assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene and medication management.

You will also be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment, promoting independence and dignity for our clients.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with meal preparation and household chores
  • Accompanying clients on outings and activities
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Additionally, you should have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a group home setting.

You will also require certification in DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2, and must pass applicable background checks.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $37,408 (based on 40 hours per week and $18.10 per hour).
