Job Title: Medical Care Coordinator

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the delivery of patient care, working closely with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Registered Nurses in the delivery of patient care, including activities such as vital sign collection, ADLs, and specimen collection;
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including vital signs, medications, and test results;
• Participate in the implementation of individualized plans of care, under the direction of the Registered Nurse;
• Transport patients and items as needed, ensuring timely and efficient movement throughout the facility;
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of technology, including EPIC and unit-specific monitors;

Requirements:
* Current enrollment in an accredited Baccalaureate or Masters entry level school of nursing with passing grades in all courses upon hire and on an annual basis or awaiting eligibility (within 3 months of graduation);
* Completed a fundamental nursing course to include basic nursing skills, such as vital signs and ADLs;
* High school diploma or equivalent;
* Successful completion of the institutional screening examination;
* Ability to solve simple problems;
* Excellent communication and customer service skills;

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year,
