This involves working closely with engineering teams to ensure that all components and systems are assembled and integrated according to specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly Management: Lead and manage the assembly process for spacecraft and satellite systems, including integration and preparation for testing and deployment.
  • Process Execution: Develop and execute assembly procedures, ensuring that all components are assembled and integrated accurately and efficiently. Follow established guidelines and standards to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with design engineers, integration teams, and project managers to ensure that assembly activities are aligned with project requirements and timelines.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues encountered during the assembly process. Implement corrective actions and coordinate with cross-functional teams to address complex problems.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, including assembly procedures, quality checks, and any deviations or issues encountered. Prepare assembly reports and documentation for review.

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You must also possess 2+ years of experience in a build or assembly engineering role, with a strong understanding of assembly and integration processes for complex systems. Additionally, you should have proficiency with build tools and equipment (e.g., assembly fixtures, precision measurement instruments) and strong knowledge of assembly and integration techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication skills are also essential. As this position requires access to sensitive information, you must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in aerospace or high-tech industries is beneficial, as well as expertise in advanced assembly and integration techniques. Relevant certifications in assembly or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing) are also valued. If you have extensive experience in aerospace or space technology sectors, particularly with spacecraft or satellite systems, your application will be highly considered. Lastly, if you can demonstrate your ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in assembly processes and methodologies, we would love to hear from you
