Job Opportunity: Travel MRI Technologist

Siemen Healthineers is seeking a skilled Travel MRI Technologist to join their team in Galloway, New Jersey.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to work in a travel position. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI diagnostic imaging procedures, locating and recording internal elements of the body, and identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, adhering to department procedures and protocols.
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested, according to department procedures.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
  • Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols, under the guidance and approval of site Radiologist.
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems, calling for service and notifying pertinent team members.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required.
  • Siemens equipment experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.

Siemens Healthineers offers a competitive pay package, including a tax-free stipend amount to be determined, based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
