Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate patient acuity and ensure appropriate matching of care needs to unit and hospital resources.
  2. Perform basic patient care, including positioning, transportation, phlebotomy, ECGs, and maintenance of spinal precautions.
  3. Administer or monitor medications as ordered by a physician, within the scope of your training and certification.
  4. Participate in cardio-vascular monitoring and management, airway management, and resuscitation of critical patients.
  5. Document assessment and reassessments, patient progress, and responses to interventions.
  6. Interact with healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Paramedic certification or license within the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Preferred qualifications include FP-C or CCT-P certification and additional related education or experience.
