Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Master Technician to join our team at Pep Boys. As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including brakes, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, and computer systems.

  • Lead a team of technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers.

  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology.

  • Assist fellow technicians and mechanics in performing technical activities and maintain a safe and organized workspace.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.



Requirements:





  • A High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair

  • 8 or more ASE certifications are preferred

  • Section 609 Certification required

  • State Inspection license if applicable

  • A high level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude

  • A valid driver's license

Pay and Benefits:



The pay range for this position is between $31.00 and $35.00 per hour, flat rate based on experience, with a $20.00 per hour guaranteed.
