WeCare Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Delhi NY. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of a nursing care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer the fundamentals of the nursing process
* Contribute to nursing assessment and the development of a nursing care plan
* Participate in the evaluation of nursing care
* Supervise care given by nonprofessional staff and provide instruction as needed
* Support nursing care standards through adherence to existing policies and procedures
* Regularly attend unit conferences and make recommendations for improvement in patient care
* Participate in peer review as appropriate
* Obtain and document nursing history from patients and/or significant others
* Perform basic assessment of patients and record vital signs
* Identify abnormal diagnostic data and report information to the physician and others caring for the patient
* Use assessment information to develop a care plan before the end of duty time
* Review and develop care plans for assigned patients
* Include the patient and his or her family in planning care
* Communicate with the patient and his or her family and other members of the health care team
* Evaluate and note the patient's response to nursing care
Requirements:
* Current license to practice nursing in NEW YORK state
* Minimum of six months of recent experience as a professional nurse
* Demonstrated proficiency of 50 percent of the skills required for Level II
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
