Medical Director for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services

About Us: At PORT Health Services, we are committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. Our Outpatient Unit serves adults and children from North Carolina's Eastern Region, offering a safe and supportive environment for patients to receive treatment and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities: The Medical Director will oversee all aspects of patient care, including medical diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning. Key responsibilities include:
- Obtaining thorough patient histories and performing diagnostic procedures
- Evaluating and managing medications, including prescription and administration
- Conducting assessments, evaluations, and intakes to determine patient needs
- Communicating with referral agencies and reviewing pre-screening information for potential patients
- Collaborating with other treatment staff to develop and implement treatment plans
- Providing first aid, CPR, or emergency intervention as needed
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong background in addiction medicine and mental health
- Excellent clinical skills and experience working with diverse patient populations
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- The ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and advancing the field of addiction medicine
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $ $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
