About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled geriatric physician to provide clinical care and oversee the education of residents, fellows, and medical students. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with patients across various age groups, from adults 18-65 to older adults aged 65+, and develop your skills in sound decision-making, both clinical and administrative.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients as a staff attending for sub-specialty consult services.
  • Develop and update patient care plans, identifying acute/non-acute/chronic health problems, and systematically evaluate patient care programs.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Benefits

  • A competitive salary: $**200,000 - $250,000 per year**, commensurate with experience.
  • A generous paid time off policy: 50-55 days of paid time off per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, and 11 paid Federal holidays.
  • A comprehensive retirement plan: traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
  • Malpractice coverage: free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
  • Flexible scheduling: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with occasional on-call assignments.
