Taxation Specialist

Job Title: Taxation Specialist

Reports To: Directors, Partners

Responsibilities:

• Review corporate, individual, partnership, and other tax returns prepared by associates and provide comments.
• Be responsible for specific tax, accounting, and consulting engagements.
• Supervise and mentor staff on multiple projects concurrently.
• Directly correspond and communicate with clients.

Areas of Concentration:

• Process engagement responsibilities from beginning to end, including communicating the status of assignments.
• Train staff and provide useful feedback throughout the engagement.
• Research and resolve technical tax matters.
• Assist with developing additional services for current clients.
• Develop contacts through networking and community involvement and maintain contacts for referral use.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• CPA license required.
• 7-10 years of tax experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent personnel development and delegation skills, including training and instruction.
