Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Clean Harbors Kimball, NE. As an I&E Technician, you will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, as well as diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
  • Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
  • Maintains accurate records and logs as required
  • Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
  • Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
  • Services and replaces motors and lighting
  • Performs general electrical maintenance
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-5 years combined plant experience and related education preferred
  • Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred
  • Journeyman Electrician License
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics
  • Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • DOT Training
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waist
  • Climb up and down vertical ladders
  • Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical
  • 10 pushups, deep knee squats and sit-ups (to determine if fit)
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Punctuality and attendance required
  • Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay)
  • Background check, drug screen and physical- required
