About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Construction Finance Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead a finance team effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers and executives to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, and financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Procore).
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
