Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at Puck Enterprises. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance services for our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs of application equipment during pumping season and perform scheduled maintenance repairs in the offseason.
  2. Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of application equipment.
  3. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  4. Interact with customers and vendors by responding to questions, concerns, and troubleshooting in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing symptoms, diagnose and resolve the issue(s).
  6. Research required information using available resources and follow standard processes and procedures.
  7. Ensure issues are resolved to completion and follow up with customers or vendors as necessary to close the loop.
  8. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
  9. Comply with OSHA and Puck safety rules.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent, or three to six months' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Preferred: three to six months' experience in safely operating agriculture equipment or machines, 2-year technical degree, 2+ years of related experience, working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, and experience with metal working equipment.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
