Responsibilities

  • Orient patients to our unit and program, ensuring a smooth transition to treatment.
  • Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
  • Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries, adhering to established training programs.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for observing patients at all times, prioritizing their safety and security.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Practice universal precautions and environmental safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Willingness to train and develop skills in working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents an asset.
  • Able to work 40 hours per week on night shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am) with rotating weekends and possible overtime.
