As a Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be conducted in a private residence with a focus on one-on-one care. Your duties may include:

  • In-Home Assistance – Aiding clients with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal grooming, laundry, monitoring health indicators, bathing, toileting, and basic technology assistance
  • Engagement Activities – Participating in enjoyable activities like games, arts and crafts, and accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, and errands
  • Community Building – Establishing a nurturing and secure atmosphere for clients through effective communication with families and team members

To be eligible for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation with insurance
  • Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect with diverse individuals
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, providing care with respect, patience, and compassion
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to training standards
