Skilled Patient Care Specialist

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) role at Christus Health is a vital part of our team. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to provide exceptional patient care services.
Job OverviewThis position requires the ability to maintain a clean, safe environment that reflects the preferences and needs of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in communication techniques, infection control, safety, body mechanics, and age-related differences when providing care.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine service duties and procedures necessary for patient care and comfort
- Meet activities of daily living (ADLs) and other procedures within the scope of CNA responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe environment that reflects patient preferences and needs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
- Ability to remain patient and tactful while performing repetitive tasks
- Emotional maturity and ability to avoid personal problems affecting job performance
- Previous gerontology experience preferred
- Current Texas Nurse Aide Certificate
We offer a competitive salary range of $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
