Elementary Education Assistant with Special Needs Expertise

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary Education Assistant to join our team of exceptional educators at Soliant. This part-time or full-time position will provide specialized instruction, support, and advocacy to students with disabilities, ensuring their academic and personal growth.
Job Highlights:
- Estimated Salary: $25-35 per hour, based on experience and education
- Location: Thomasville, PA
- Job Type: Part-time and full-time available
- Caseload: Elementary, middle, and high school caseloads available
Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Elementary Education Assistant to support teachers in providing instruction and support to students in various educational settings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of inclusive education practices, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in providing instruction and support to students in various educational settings
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher
- Support students with special needs, including physical, emotional, or learning disabilities
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support the overall educational goals of the school
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 60 college credit hours preferred
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred
- Certification as a Paraprofessional in the state of Philadelphia preferred
