About the Role

Lowe's is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Omni Channel Systems team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, scalability, reliability, and security of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop backend services using Java, Springboot, and other technologies.
  • Deploy applications to Lowe's hosted data centers or the cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, and other tools.
  • Define architecture for highly scalable and reliable enterprise systems.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of applications for faster response times.
  • Support applications using data visualization tools like Grafana and Kibana.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with J2EE, REST APIs, and Springboot.
  • Strong technical aptitude in Java/J2EE, Springboot, and other open-source technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSql databases like Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
  • Working knowledge of frameworks like Spring, ReactJS, and JUnit.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborative planning and defect tracking through BitBucket/GitHub or related Source Code Management tools.
  • Working knowledge of tools for monitoring and alerting like Kibana and Grafana.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
  • 4 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
  • 4 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software.
  • 4 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment.
  • 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports.
  • 3 years of experience working with source code control systems.
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools.
  • 3 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high-level design for complex solutions.
