Job Summary:

A compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor is needed to join our team at BayMark Health Services.

About the Role:

This position requires a dedicated and empathetic professional to assist patients through medically assisted treatments and provide techniques for handling opioid addiction.

The successful candidate will conduct individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies, while also evaluating patient progress and collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to achieve overall outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services, including direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Coordinate all services throughout treatment, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of counseling services in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Facilitate, establish, and review initial treatment plans with each patient, including developing aftercare and discharge plans.
  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and ensure that all patients receive a high level of care.
  • Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must possess an Ohio CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC certification.
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
  • Have a strong understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Pass a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
