Job Title: Associate Attorney

Location: Denver, CO

Salary: $110k-$185k DOE (plus bonuses, PTO, 401(k), insurance, etc.)

Requirements: 4+ years of litigation experience. Experience within Insurance Defense is highly preferred but not necessarily a "must have".

We are a well-respected, mid-sized litigation firm situated in the Denver Tech Center and are looking to hire an associate attorney with at least five years of experience in litigation. Ideal candidates will be focused on insurance-related cases such as bad faith claims, coverage disputes, personal injury cases, and lawsuits involving construction defects and premises liability.

Responsibilities:
  • Litigation
  • Investigating/defending first- and third-party claims
  • Conducting and defending depositions
  • Drafting dispositive motions
  • Attending hearings in state and federal courts
  • Legal Research, writing, and independent thinking skills

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience investigating/defending first- and third-party claims, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and attending court hearings in state and federal courts. Experience drafting coverage opinions and conducting examinations under oath is a strong plus. Excellent research, writing, and independent thinking skills are essential. Candidates will have the opportunity to handle the day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the matters on which they work, from pre-litigation analysis and client recommendations through trial and appeal.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • 4+ years of litigation experience
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
