About This Role

In this key position, you will lead our maintenance team in ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and safe for residents. You'll be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, inspecting facilities, and overseeing repairs. Your expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as your ability to work independently, will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee daily maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate maintenance schedules with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and equipment as needed to maintain optimal levels.
  • Pool Operations: Ensure the pool area is clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company policies and procedures related to safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years' experience in multifamily maintenance operations or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPO certification required; CFC Type I & Type II certification required, CFC Universal certification preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of heat pump, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
    • Familiarity with Yardi software systems, an asset.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
    • Regularly moves about to coordinate work and responds to emergencies.
    • Occasionally walks, climbs stairs or ladders, bends, stoops, reaches, uses equipment with hands, pulls, and lifts up to 50 pounds.
    • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
