Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary design and engineering team. As a Structural Design Specialist, you will be responsible for providing structural design support on a project basis, collaborating with engineers to develop comprehensive structural systems, and working under the direction of a structural engineer PE to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Project Requirements
  • Develop Conceptual Structural Designs
  • Estimate Weights and Details for Proposal Preparation
  • Design and Evaluate Structural Systems
  • Produce Structural Calculations and Drawings
  • Perform Shop and Field Inspections
  • Monitor Budget and Schedule during Design Phase
  • Participate in Design Reviews with Clients and Project Teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 2-5+ years of experience preferred
  • Understanding of structural analysis programs like Risa 3D or STAADPro required; proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and suppliers
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
