Job Summary

Caraday Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, leading and directing licensed and non-professional staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Care: Plan, organize, and direct the nursing functions of patients in the unit, ensuring the best possible care and outcomes.
  • Lead and Direct Staff: Make nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees, maintain acceptable standards of patient care, and identify problems to guide personnel to their solution.
  • Implement Physicians' Orders: Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders, supporting and enforcing infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Communicate Effectively: Use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations, promoting positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests.
  • Ensure Resident Safety: Understand and adhere to the guidelines of 'Residents Rights' and assure resident safety, responding appropriately in urgent and/or emergency situations.
Requirements
  • Current LVN License: Possess a current LVN license and be CPR certified, with 30 days to complete a course and get certified.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal or written instructions in English, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 Years Nursing Experience: 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care/skilled nursing, with a strong understanding of nursing practices and regulations.
