Job Summary

The Christus Health organization is seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team in the Patient Account Services department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of patient accounts.

About the Role

This full-time position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Hospital Business Office. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care activities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the department.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; clerical and/or administrative office experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain information to internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions guided by established procedures.
  • A desire to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions

This role requires long periods of sitting, walking, and extended use of a video display terminal and keyboard. Must be flexible in work schedule and able to handle stressful situations. May be required to push, pull, or lift up to 20 pounds.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
