Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Housekeeper to join our team at MBK Senior Living. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' apartments and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain resident apartments, public areas, and offices to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
  • Report any health, safety, and sanitation concerns to the supervisor and take necessary actions to address them.
  • Monitor and remove trash and waste from inside areas to designated trash cans and areas.
  • Use standard cleaning equipment and supplies, and follow established procedures for handling hazardous waste and chemicals.
Requirements:
  • Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Background clearances as required by government regulations.
  • Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results.
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but on-the-job training is available for candidates with the right attitude and desire.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to use standard cleaning equipment consistent with the position.
  • Must be mobile and able to execute the physical demands of the housekeeping position, including standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to lift cleaning equipment and products of 40+ pounds.
