About the Role

The Wonder Project is seeking a seasoned marketing leader to drive the growth and success of our consumer offering. As the Senior Vice President of Performance Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to acquire and retain customers, drive market share, and establish a strong brand presence.

You will work closely with our executive team to build and execute short- and long-term strategic marketing plans, including key performance indicators (KPIs), goals, and objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing, content marketing, and subscription marketing, as well as experience leading and inspiring marketing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving audience growth and revenue, with a strong analytical and financial skillset. You will be responsible for managing budgets, working closely with business development and finance to balance fiscal responsibility while achieving high growth.

Responsibilities
  • Drive customer acquisition and grow market share for Wonder Project's consumer offering
  • Work with the executive team to build and execute short- and long-term strategic marketing plans
  • Hire, manage, and mentor marketers and agencies to execute plans and deliver on ambitious goals
  • Establish and manage budgets, working closely with business development and finance
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market plan for launch, year one, and beyond
  • Build and oversee performance marketing and subscriber acquisition, including all media spend, SEO/SEM, and ROI analysis
  • Build and oversee CRM and product marketing, including creating and implementing CRM and product marketing strategies, messaging, and branding
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and with all agencies, consultants, and vendors
Requirements
  • 12-15+ years of marketing leadership experience with at least 5 years of digital marketing leadership
  • Deep understanding of DTC entertainment, content marketing, media, and/or subscription marketing
  • Experience leading and inspiring marketing teams, with strong experience in performance/growth marketing leadership required
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with experience overseeing and delivering on substantial budgets
  • Exceptional communication skills, both on a business level, and in the ability to understand how best to communicate with consumers
  • Ability to prioritize, project manage, organize, and deliver on timelines, goals, and objectives
  • Experience working with and managing external vendors, agencies, and creative talent
  • Creative thinker with leadership experience in audience development, social media, and/or branding
  • Respect and understanding of the Wonder Project audience
  • Proven ability to grow audiences and revenue
  • Experience building teams and working in a high-growth environment
Salary and Benefits

The Wonder Project offers a competitive salary range of $325,000 - $425,000, as well as equity participation in the management option pool (Series A company). We also offer benefits, FSA, and 401k.
