Energy Efficiency Business Development Specialist

This position plays a pivotal role in the development of strategic sales plans and presentations that effectively engage key industrial, commercial, and government customers in adopting energy-efficient programs, services, products, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops high-level sales strategies based on an in-depth understanding of Eversource's energy efficiency business objectives, programs, products, and services, as well as the needs and challenges of key customers.
  • Creates action plans and schedules to identify and monitor potential customers for significant energy efficiency upgrades and modifications.
  • Promotes Eversource's programs as a means of substantial energy reduction and initiates partnerships with key customers through education, information, and dialogue.
  • Contributes to meeting Eversource's energy efficiency quotas by convincing key customers to partner with the company and invest in energy system upgrades.
  • Maintains established partnerships by addressing customer concerns, issues, and following up on energy efficiency project progress.
  • Ensures effective communication between customers and Eversource support teams on all unresolved issues.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong senior-level customer relationships, articulate compelling propositions, and persuade others.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics, requirements, and technical knowledge/skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, management, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as business acumen.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) plus years of sales and marketing experience.
Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,000-$133,000, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with experience.
