Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Position in Chillicothe, Ohio

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Chillicothe, Ohio, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
About the JobAs a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients before using a scanner or camera to capture images. You will provide technical support to physicians and researchers, ensuring the safe and effective use of radioactive drugs.
- Attain required approval and signature from nuclear medicine physicians.
- Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
- Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
- Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
- Provide assistance to patients during procedures.
- Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
To be successful in this role, you must have 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You should hold BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required. Additionally, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
You should possess a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment as needed.
