Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies. This role will involve coordinating with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective procurement strategies
  • Analyze and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed set standards
  • Facilitate team communication to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer
  • BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market
  • Talent in negotiations and networking
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
  • High School Diploma or GED

Additional Information:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
