Hematology Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health IHA.
This role will involve providing comprehensive care to patients dealing with hematological and oncological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
As a member of our team, you will be part of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary oncology service line that includes access to a network of subspecialties such as Radiation Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, and Colorectal Surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with hematological and oncological disorders across the continuum of care.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate transitions of care for patients undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other advanced therapies.
- Provide education to patients regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and supportive care resources to empower informed decision-making.
- Perform symptom assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to manage symptoms related to cancer and its treatment.
- Participate in clinical research activities to advance knowledge and improve outcomes in hematology and oncology.
- Masters degree in physician assistant or nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (ACNP, ONCC, AGNP credentials only).
- Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Michigan.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and collaboration.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. A competitive benefits package is also available.
