Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at American Family Care Santa Clarita. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.
- Position patients accurately for diagnostic imaging procedures, adhering to established safety protocols and radiation protection techniques.
- Process images, review them for proper identification and quality control, and prepare them for reading by a physician or radiologist as needed.
- Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, maintaining compliance with approved radiology techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments according to approved standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as necessary.
- Complete forms, maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist with administrative and clinical needs as required, including serving as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant when needed.
To be successful in this role, you should possess an Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. ARRT registration or board eligibility is preferred, and medical assistant certification is required.
