Job Overview

The Community Health Nutritionist will play a critical role in leading our nutrition education initiatives, working closely with schools, community organizations, and local partners to promote healthy eating behaviors and reduce chronic disease incidence. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition education strategies and curricula for diverse audiences
  • Lead engaging cooking demonstrations and nutrition education training sessions for staff, volunteers, and community members
  • Collaborate with the Healthy Foods Director to develop and implement a nutrition internship program
  • Supervise and mentor nutrition interns and provide guidance on program implementation and evaluation
  • Track and analyze program outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth and expansion
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in nutrition education, public health, or a related field
  • Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working with individuals and families in underserved communities, with a focus on promoting healthy eating behaviors and reducing chronic disease incidence
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification, or equivalent experience
