**Job Title:** Registered Dietitian

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans is seeking a skilled Dietitian Nutrition Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care and education to our PACE participants.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced dietitian to lead our nutrition team. As a Dietitian Nutrition Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nutritional Assessment and Care Planning:
    • Evaluate participants' nutritional status and develop personalized nutrition care plans.
    • Assess nutrient requirements and recommend dietary prescriptions.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of nutritional interventions and ensure compliance with PACE regulations.
  • Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team (IDT):
    • Communicate with healthcare providers and participate in care plan development.
    • Inform the IDT of participants' medical, functional, and psychosocial conditions.
  • Nutrition Education and Counseling:
    • Provide education and counseling to participants and caregivers.
    • Develop and deliver educational materials or presentations based on participant needs.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of nutritional assessments and interventions.
    • Ensure compliance with PACE policies and procedures.
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention:
    • Monitor and address chronic conditions through dietary interventions.
    • Work with participants to prevent malnutrition and promote weight management.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum one year of experience working with frail and/or elderly populations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of clinical dietetics and medical nutrition therapy.
    • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
