Job Summary

GeorgiaGov is seeking a skilled Healthcare Assistant 3 to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care, including vital sign monitoring and documentation.
  • Work with patients to develop daily living skills and promote independence.
  • Ensure the safety and security of clients, observing and documenting patient data, behavior, and activity.
  • Prepare clients for treatments or examinations and assist with bathing or activities of daily living.
  • Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and activities.
  • Participate in providing a safe, secure, clean, and attractive environment for individuals, visitors, and staff.
  • Provide assistance to other staff when admitting and orienting new individuals to units.
  • Conduct activities for recreation and socialization.
  • Provide clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
  • Assist with identifying individuals in medication lines and collecting bodily fluid specimens.
  • Conduct environment rounds and participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Participate in crisis de-escalation and serve on hospital-wide committees.
  • Group facilitation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of Georgia or from the state in which candidate resides and clear motor vehicle report.
  • At least one year of experience working with mental health individuals in a mental health setting or environment.
  • Experience in supervision or leadership role is a plus but not required.
