Program Assistant

CDI Head Start is seeking a part-time Program Assistant to support our team in Blackford, Jay, and Randolph Counties. As a Program Assistant, you will assist in centers in these counties, helping with activities in the classroom, kitchen, and bus, and serving as a disabilities aide as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom staff in all classroom activities and outdoor activities included in lesson plans.
  • Help supervise mealtime, eating with the children to encourage good nutrition and social skills.
  • Help keep the classroom and its contents clean and orderly.
  • Substitute for cook as needed in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Some states may require additional requirements for kitchen aide duties.
