About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Incident Planning Coordinator to join our team in the Office of Emergency Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, emergency management, or a related field and be passionate about developing and implementing plans to support preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Coordinate Cybersecurity Efforts: Develop, maintain, and implement a citywide Cyber Incident Response and Recovery Plan and the Communications Disruptions Plan, ensuring alignment with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Cybersecurity Risk Assessments: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, providing recommendations for funding, resources, training, and exercises to help Philadelphia meet the goals set forth in the Cyber Incident Response and Recovery Plan.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Coordinate cybersecurity risk assessments to identify cyber risks, vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and cascading impacts to relevant city agencies and critical infrastructure.
  • Community Engagement: Provide support to the OEM Community Engagement Team on creating READYBusiness presentations focusing on business continuity, promoting cyber hygiene among city employees.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop and maintain partnerships and effective working relationships with local, state, and federal government stakeholders, enhancing response coordination during cyber incidents.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in cybersecurity, homeland security, emergency management, public administration, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a cybersecurity, homeland security, emergency management, or planning profession, specifically geared towards developing, managing, and implementing plans and documents.
  • Skillset: Effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
