About the role of Chief Physicist - Radiation Oncology at Quality Talent Group

  • Under indirect supervision, provides professional medical physics services for Radiation Oncology in accordance with the highest standards of practice and as required by regulatory agencies. Collaborates with medical providers in the design, evaluation and modification of effective radiation treatments for patients; oversees and monitors treatment plans developed by dosimetrists, participates in the evaluation, acquisition and operation of equipment or systems to include equipment monitoring, calibration, and safety surveys. Supervises staff physicists and dosimetrists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate radiation treatment plans for patients
  • Collaborate with medical providers to ensure effective treatment delivery
  • Oversee and monitor treatment plans developed by dosimetrists
  • Participate in the evaluation and acquisition of equipment or systems
  • Supervise staff physicists and dosimetrists

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Medical Physics (Required)
  • Doctorate Degree in Medical Physics (Preferred)
  • 6 - 7 years Clinical Radiation Oncology experience (Required)
  • Certified Health Physicist (CHP) certification (Required)
