Prep Technician

New Way Trucks is a family-owned company with a strong commitment to excellence in heavy manufacturing. We are seeking a skilled Prep Technician to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality garbage trucks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Using hand and power tools to remove weld splatters and imperfections from the body of garbage trucks.
• Inspecting welds for consistency and penetration, and reporting any issues to the relevant department.
• Cleaning and smoothing metal surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently, and reporting any hazards to the Maintenance Department.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 1 year of experience using manual and power tools.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
