Recreation Center Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Recreation Center Custodian to join our team at the City and County of Denver. As a Recreation Center Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our recreation centers.

LocationThe City and County of Denver's Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Mobile Custodial Team is looking to hire two Recreation Center Custodians to help maintain the cleanliness of the department's recreation centers. In this position, you can expect to work on site at multiple recreation centers.
What You'll DoAs a Recreation Center Custodian, you will be responsible for performing interior custodial duties, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and using mechanical floor cleaners to polish, buff, strip, and wax floors. You will also sanitize recreation facilities, ensuring a safe and clean center for customers and staff. Additionally, you will remove waste from work areas, gather, and dispose of trash and waste that may contain hazardous materials.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a flexible work schedule, knowledge of and/or previous custodial experience, experience stripping and waxing floors, strong attention to detail, and the ability to self-manage. You will also need to have a valid Driver's License at the time of application and be able to keep licenses and certifications current as a condition of employment.
