Job Overview

This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn about industrial sales and grow within our sales organization. As an Industrial Sales Development Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing markets not covered by Market Segment Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze a specific segment or application size & Sales potential for Stabilus Industrial Americas
  • Develop a competitive landscape for new products and market pricing
  • Create a value-added offer to support sales/marketing activities
  • Develop a segment-specific product portfolio, including content for marketing platforms (brochures, white papers, training materials), with support from Engineering and Marketing
  • Represent Stabilus at trade shows
  • Build a network of contacts in new target segments
  • Create custom target lists for identified expansion industries and set up calls with local sales teams
  • Provide quarterly updates to Sales Management on target industries and actions taken or needed to fulfill growth plans
  • Maintain a database in CRM of territory activities and information and provide timely and detailed responses to management requests
  • Maintain awareness of competitive activities and products, communicating relevant data to Marketing Services and Sales Management
For Markets Covered by Market Segment Managers
  • Support Market Segment Managers with the above-mentioned tasks as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects within a team environment
  • Experience in strategy development and execution
  • Identify markets and prospects, understand needs, prioritize, target, analyze, solve, communicate, maintain, and expand target sectors
  • Previous commercial sales experience an asset
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Able to write reports and business correspondence
  • Able to effectively listen to customer needs, present information, and respond to questions from groups
  • Spanish language skills an asset
Travel Requirements
  • At least 50% of time including overnight travel

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on location and industry standards.
