Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Andwell Health Partners in Southern Maine.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing physical therapy services in accordance with plan of treatment developed by the PT and signed by the physician. You will work collaboratively with our Physical Therapist to measure client's functional level, implement client care plan activities, and provide clear direction to clients during visits.

You will also be responsible for observing and documenting the effectiveness of interventions on the physical therapy visit report, referring clients to internal and external community resources when appropriate, and treating clients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum performance using appropriate physical therapy treatments and modalities.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physical therapy services as directed by the PT
  • Measure client's functional level and report results to PT
  • Implement client care plan activities based on treatment goals
  • Provide clear direction to clients during visits
  • Observe and document effectiveness of interventions
  • Refer clients to internal and external community resources when appropriate
  • Treat clients to relieve pain and restore function
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree Program for Physical Therapy Assistants
  • A minimum of one-year recent clinical experience
  • Current license in the State of Maine as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Must have a reliable automobile with a current Maine driver's license
