Recreation Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Recreation Assistant to join our team at the City of Allen. As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, facilitating recreational activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service by greeting members, answering phone calls, and providing facility information.
- Register citizens for membership, classes, camps, and activities.
- Process Point-Of-Service transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with opening and closing facilities, including organizing front desk work areas and reconciling cash levels.
- Supervise the climbing wall, ensuring patrons use proper techniques and maintaining equipment.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and report any issues or concerns.
- Provide administrative support, including developing marketing materials and assisting with special events.
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
- Valid Class C Driver's License and CPR/First Aid certification.
This position requires the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. The standard office environment may involve occasional outdoor work. The ability to lift 20 pounds, sit or stand for long periods, and operate athletic equipment is also required.
