Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is a leading pediatric care provider with a 140-year legacy of excellence. We seek a highly skilled Critical Care Transport Nurse to join our team as a Pediatric Team Lead.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced nurse who can provide superior critical care transportation services to critically ill patients. As a Pediatric Team Lead, you will be responsible for the stabilization and organized transport of patients, triaging and facilitating requests for patient transfer, developing educational programs, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality critical care transportation services to critically ill patients.
  • Stabilize and transport patients safely and efficiently.
  • Triage and facilitate requests for patient transfer from referring hospitals.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for healthcare professionals and families.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Skill Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should have a strong background in pediatric critical care nursing, with experience in transporting critically ill patients. Additionally, you should be able to provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with patients and families, and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and efficient transportation of patients.

Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois required.
  • Three years of experience in pediatric critical care nursing required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • PALS/NRP/ACLS/TNCC certification required; C-NPT certification within two years of hire.
  • Able to lift 40 pounds and perform medium work duties.
