Job Overview
The role of a Medical Assistant at Family Health Services is to provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in all aspects of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general patient care and basic patient education
- Assist doctors and other medical professionals with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and surgeries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Administer medications and apply sterile dressings as needed
- Participate in in-service education programs to stay current on best practices and new developments in the field
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care coordination
- Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and supply management
- Educate patients on proper care and treatment, including medication administration and laboratory sample preparation
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited LPN, Medical Assistant, or Nursing Assistant program
- Current CMA or CNA certification (LPN license preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly valued
- Strong knowledge of patient care charts, clinical operations, and documentation standards
- Ability to safely lift and physically manipulate patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment a plus
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $16.00 - $20.75 per hour (DOE)
- Quarterly bonus potential up to $520
- $500 sign-on bonus after 1040 hours worked and 6 months of employment completed
