Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our SI&T Effectors department, you will work closely with engineers to execute tests within our engineering laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform lab operations, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment within the laboratory.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform prototyping or building of cabling and electrical components in support of engineering testing.
  • Learn how to operate the engineering development stations, including the use of both Windows and Linux operating systems, with a focus on thoroughness and repeatability using documented procedures.
  • Assist in developing new procedures and generate test data, reviewing test output used by engineers to determine laboratory functionality.
Requirements
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with electronics.
  • Experience and understanding of troubleshooting, analysis, and characterization techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and DMMs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, and electronics maintenance.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using general test equipment, such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
