Job Summary:

ManTech International Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. As a key member of our engineering and Information Technology services team, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Your expertise in managing IT system infrastructure and processes will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and processes.
  • Provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
  • Provide problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software.
  • Administer and secure network switching and routing devices.
  • Manage and maintain network security through the use of access controls and path management.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and optimize IT systems.
  • Perform daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software.
  • Implement operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to customers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 10 years of total experience with Security + Certification.
  • Experience with implementing, troubleshooting IT systems.
  • Experience with performing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Experience with providing Tier 1/Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Experience with optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Experience with configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installing/loading operating system software.
  • Experience with implementing operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
  • Experience with providing detailed analysis and feedback to customers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Windows Operating System (Server & Desktop).
  • Experience with Exchange/Active Directory.
  • Basic network administration (Cisco routers/switches).
  • Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Working within a software development environment.
  • Agile methodology.

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Currently hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
