Job Summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab to provide direct patient care to individuals participating in inpatient or outpatient cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized initial patient interviews and assessments, collecting patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Case manage entire cardiac rehabilitation programs for individual patients, implementing, modifying, and supervising therapeutic programs.
  • Assess and re-assess patients throughout the program to modify plans of care and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Develop safe and appropriate exercise prescriptions for diverse patient populations with multiple co-morbidities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members regarding continuity of care and work independently to make high-level clinical decisions on complex and high-risk patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
  • Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 1 year.
Skills
  • Knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation phase I, II, and III.
  • Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, cardiovascular pathophysiology, and cardiovascular disease testing and treatments.
  • Strong skillset in ECG/arrhythmia recognition.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
