Responsibilities:

  • Pump out tanks, clean facilities, and equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, clean drains, ditches, and culverts.
  • Remove screenings, grit, and debris from headworks.
  • Maintain equipment, perform general building and grounds maintenance.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, paint equipment and facilities.
  • Remove snow, spread salt, and maintain equipment.
  • Carry materials, supplies, or tools.
  • Replace light bulbs and diffusers.
  • Provide assistance to maintenance and operating personnel.
  • Collect and dispose of trash, perform basic housekeeping tasks.
  • Wash and clean vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to comprehend oral and written instructions in English.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience as a laborer or utility worker desired.

Working Conditions:

  • Inside, outside, and both environments.
  • Extremes of cold, hot, and temperature changes.
  • Wet, humid, noise, vibration, hazards, fumes, odors, and poor ventilation.
